Kim Murdock

Meet your Owner and Director, Kim Murdock. Mrs. Kim began dancing and tumbling at a young age in the Tulsa area. Throughout high school, she was a proud member of the Bishop Kelley Pom Squad before attending the University of Oklahoma, where she majored in Modern Dance during her first year. She later earned her degree in Recreational Therapy with an emphasis in Early Childhood. Her education provided a strong foundation in kinesiology and child development while reinforcing the importance of building healthy habits through movement from an early age. She believes that our bodies should be respected, strengthened, and celebrated through dance, tumbling, and all forms of physical activity.

With experience owning and operating her own fitness studio, teaching yoga, personal training, working as a recreational therapist, and instructing dance across the country—from St. Pete Beach, Florida, to San Diego, California—Kim has dedicated her life to helping others grow through movement and the performing arts.

Returning home to Oklahoma, Kim fulfilled her dream of opening Soul II Sole Performing Arts: a studio where dancers of all ages and abilities feel welcomed, encouraged, and inspired. Her vision has always been to create a positive, family-centered environment where every student has the opportunity to grow in confidence, character, and technique. She is incredibly proud to lead a team of talented instructors who share her passion for excellence and genuinely care about every dancer who walks through the studio doors.

Kim's own family has been an important part of Soul II Sole's journey. Her children have each contributed their unique talents to the studio, helping bring her vision to life and creating the family atmosphere that makes Soul II Sole so special. Their support, along with the dedication of the incredible Soul II Sole staff and families, has helped build a community where dancers are encouraged to dream big, work hard, and become the best versions of themselves—both on and off the stage.

Kim feels truly blessed to share her passion with the Bixby community and looks forward to continuing to inspire the next generation of dancers.
