Katrina Burns

Miss Katrina grew up in the quaint town of Ada, Oklahoma, where she began competing in dance at the age of nine. Her passion for dance eventually led her to the Tulsa area, where she continued her training and competitive career. Throughout the years, she developed a strong foundation in contemporary, ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, tap, musical theater, and Latin ballroom.

During high school, Katrina was a dedicated member of her school's Pom team while continuing to train and compete with her dance studio. After graduating, she spent another year competing with her home studio while exploring the next step in her dance journey. Her path took an exciting turn when she was accepted into The Bridge, a prestigious training program hosted by Shannon Mather and Mather Dance Company in Placentia, California. During the year-long program, she immersed herself in intensive training with renowned choreographers and industry professionals, expanding her skills in dance, singing, musical theater, acting, and on-camera performance.

After completing the program, Miss Katrina discovered her true passion: teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers. She now teaches three days a week at Soul II Sole Performing Arts. She instructs both recreational and competitive dancers in contemporary, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop, striving to help every student grow in confidence, artistry, and technique while fostering a lifelong love for dance.
